This website uses standards-compliant HTML 4.01 Transitional and CSS 2 (plus one pseudo-class from CSS 3), as well as ordinary Portable Network Graphics.

Unfortunately, the browser you choose to use is incapable of handling these common web standards.

While we do support the idea of free choice regarding your web browser, we do not have the manpower to create custom pages for every single incompatible browser out there. As such, we are sorry to have to inform you that we are unable to serve your platform.

Should you still wish to see this website, we strongly urge you to switch to a standards-compliant browser. Should you not want to do that, you will have to wait until, at some point in the future, your browser supports basic web technologies.

Gather, forces!

From now, we'll have our own IRC channel on GamerNET! So point your clients to irc.gamernet.org, and join #RenProj!

Language issues

It may happen that, when you connect, certain system messages are in German. Send /msg NickServ SET LANGUAGE 1 to fix that. Messages that are only stored in German, like the MOTD, will not be translated, though.

In addition, I have aggregated the services' command-list similarly to the one GamerNET sports on their page. Simply click the links in the Community section.

Quickstart

Rumor had it there may be some of us who have no IRC-experience whats-o-ever. If you are one of them, keep reading.

First of all, you need a client. Basically like the program you use to connect to instant messaging services, but capable to connect to any server you wish, and join any channel you desire (except for those you're blocked from :P).
Your beloved admins' choices are

Once you have one of them, set your preferences and stuff, either connect to irc.gamernet.org through the GUI, or do a /server irc.gamernet.org at the command line. Then, you want to join the channel RenProj - again, either use the GUI or do a /join #RenProj at the cl.

Now you should be in the channel and able to talk to us already. If you didn't fix your nickname beforehand, or it already existed and was altered, now's the time to do a /nick your_new_nick - once you've found one you like, you can register it through sending /msg NickServ REGISTER your_password your@e-mail.adr .
And then, you're basically set. You've got a nick you can defend, you're in the right channel - now ask, or help or simply chat.

Oh, and don't just leave if no one's there...if everybody leaves one second after joining, it's no wonder the channel is empty ;) My Trillian is set to auto-join the channel once I'm on - so if I'm not there, it's because I'm nowhere.

Once you've registered your nick, the server will ask you to identify yourself when you connect to the server - /msg NickServ IDENTIFY your_password is the way to go.
